Recognition of Secondary School Diploma

This service allows the recognition and equivalence of foreign secondary school diplomas in Albania for University admission.

Required Documents

Prepare all documents before applying:

  1. Secondary School Diploma (Certificate)
    Official document proving completion of high school.
  2. Transcript of Records (List of Grades)
    Shows all subjects and final grades.
  3. ID Card or Passport
    Valid identification document.

For Foreign Diplomas

Documents must also include:

  • Apostille or Legalization
    Confirms authenticity of the documents.
  • Translation into Albanian
    Must be done by a licensed translator.
  • Notarization
    Certified copies of translated documents.

How to Apply — Step by Step

  1. Apply online via e-Albania and complete the application form.
  2. Upload all required documents in PDF format.
  3. Your application is reviewed by the responsible authority (QSHA).
  4. If documents are incomplete, you will be asked to submit missing documents.
  5. Pay the service fee.
  6. Wait for final decision.

Processing Time

The application is usually processed within up to 45 days after submission of complete documents.

Important Notes

  • All documents must be clear and valid.
  • Foreign documents must be apostilled/legalized and translated.
  • Incomplete applications may be delayed or rejected.

Recognition of Higher Education Diplomas

This service allows the recognition and equivalence of foreign higher education diplomas in Albania, in accordance with the Albanian Qualifications Framework (Levels 5–8).

For Bachelor / Master

  1. Diploma (Degree Certificate)
    Official document proving completion of studies.
  2. Transcript / Diploma Supplement
    Shows subjects, credits, and grades.
  3. ID Card or Passport
    Valid identification document.
  4. Payment Receipt

For All Foreign Diplomas

Documents must also include:

  • Apostille or Legalization
    Confirms authenticity of the documents.
  • Translation into Albanian
    Must be done by a licensed translator.
  • Notarization
    Certified copies of translated documents.

How to Apply — Step by Step

  1. Apply online via e-Albania and complete the application form.

  3. Your application is reviewed by QSHA.

  • Fast-track (EU, USA, etc.): around 5 working days
